I am so excited to show you this house tour. This is the home of my good friend Claire and her husband Karim in Rabat, Morocco. When I met them, their house was in the middle of a major remodeling. Today, a couple of years later, this is no longer a home, but a nest for this family of 4 living in Paris and escaping as often as possible to their Morocco summer house. Claire and I worked together on accent wall colors and rescued vintage ethnic pieces, but the lady has quite a natural eye for interior design : by placing careful splashes of color throughout the space and mixing industrial pieces {Tolix bistro chairs or Jielde sconces} with local souk finds, Claire gave this house a true soul... Fun, inviting and full of personality [check the yummy Moroccan vintage door on casters repurposed as a coffee table!]
Kids run throughout, all bay windows are constantly open, and the yard is a natural extension of the interior. A true gem, and if you knew Claire and her fun-loving family, you would say that this space is just like them... carefree, and happy.
