The owners of this former French Alpilles country barn contracted Annick Lestrohan, designer and owner of the
Honore company with one main interior design challenge : decorate their family vacation home with minimal budget.
Annick is a queen at this game, because she was able to furnish this freshly remodeled house with brio using painted wood planks and trestles as tables, or burlap fabric as kitchen cabinets. My favorite is that brilliant, I mean, super extraordinary, idea of the faux rug painted on the kitchen dining area concrete floor. How cool is this? Let's not mention the outdoor spaces with the 20+ year old wisteria and vine climbers as shade covers. I can just picture myself enjoying my late afternoon glass of Chardonnay and listening to the cicadas - oh wait, it's almost winter here :-(
